Women's Golf lands seven on MVC All-Centennial Team

ST. LOUIS - In conjunction with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Missouri Valley Conference the league released its Women's Golf All-Centennial Team, which featured seven Salukis.
The team, which was complied through on-line fan voting and by a centennial committee, featured more athletes from Southern Illinois than any other school in the conference.
SIU's honorees included Kelly Gerlach, Alison Hiller, Molly Hudgins, Tina Kozlowski, Julie Shumaker, Tracey Pace and head coach Diane Daugherty.
Gerlach is the only current SIU student-athlete on the honorary team. The Sparta, Ill. native is a three-time All-MVC recipient and the 2004 MVC Championship medalist.
Hiller played for SIU from 1998-2002 and was named to the All-MVC team three times (1999, 2001, 2002) and awarded conference Golfer of the Week honors seven times in her career.
Hudgins was a two-time All-MVC team member (1996, 1997) and was named MVC Golfer of the Week five times during her career.
Kozlowski earned MVC Golfer of the Week five times during her career and was named to the All-MVC team three times (1986, 1987, 1988).
Shumaker earned a place on the All-MVC team twice (1988, 1990) during her career and was the MVC championship medalist in 1988.
Pace was the 1993 MVC championship medalist and earned All-MVC honors twice (1992, 1993) as a Saluki.
Daugherty has been SIU's head coach for the last 21 seasons and has led her team to five conference titles and has earned Coach of the Year honors five times in her career.
As the celebration of the MVC's 100th anniversary continues, the league will name all-centennial teams for each its sponsored sports.
