Kelly Gerlach named MVC Golfer of the Week

ST. LOUIS - After leading the Salukis' comeback at the North Texas Classic over the weekend, senior Kelly Gerlach was named Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.
The Sparta, Ill. native shot a 147 (76-71) to finish third overall, leading the Salukis (613) to a third-place finish in the 16-team tournament, just four strokes out of the lead.
Gerlach is leading the MVC with a 73.5 average through two rounds of golf this fall.
This is the first time Gerlach has earned the league's weekly honor this season and the third time in her career.
