Southern Illinois will play a nationally televised game against Nevada on Feb. 23 as part of the O'Reilly Auto Parts/ESPNU BracketBuster weekend.
The ESPN channel and gametime will be announced by the network on Feb. 11.
The Salukis (11-11) have participated in all five of the previous BracketBuster games and are 4-1 in those contests. SIU has beaten Butler (2007), Kent State (2005), Hawaii (2004) and UW-Milwaukee (2003), while losing to Louisiana Tech (2006).
Nevada is currently 13-8 and in fifth place in the Western Athletic Conference. The Wolfpack have the best RPI (80) in the WAC, however. Likewise, the Salukis have a similarly strong RPI at 79.
"This is a great game for our fans," said Saluki head coach Chris Lowery. "Nevada is a well-established program on the national level with a strong basketball tradition."
Less than 1,000 tickets remain for the game and can be puchased in person at the Saluki ticket office or through Ticketmaster.
The Salukis will play a return game at Nevada next year.
