No. 20 Softball at Evansville on Tuesday

CARBONDALE, Ill. -The No. 20 Saluki softball team (18-6, 3-3) continues conference play with a 3 p.m. doubleheader at Evansville (5-16, 0-6) on Tuesday at Cooper Stadium.
The two games were originally scheduled for March 11, but were pushed back after wind chills dipped to the league minimum.
The Salukis enter the doubleheader after having won the final game on Sunday at Northern Iowa, while Evansville comes in having lost seven of its last eight, including the first six league games.
SIU won the series 2-1 last season, and leads the all-time series 49-17. Southern Illinois has also won three straight at Evansville and gone 12-2 in its last 14 meetings.
The match up features the league's top hitter in Krista Price against SIU's MVC-best pitching staff.
Price has a .431 batting average with seven doubles in 16 games, however the Saluki pitching staff owns a 1.51 ERA and has held opponents to a mere .184 average.
Following the MVC games at Evansville, Southern Illinois will return home for a single non-conference game against Eastern Illinois on Wednesday, March 25 at 4 p.m.
