Salukis Head to SE Missouri State Tuesday
Southern Illinois University and Southeast Missouri State meet for the second time in less than a week. The Salukis shutout the Redhawks, 7-0, on April 7 in Carbondale.

Versus the Ohio Valley
SIU is currently 3-4 versus Ohio Valley Conference schools this year. The Salukis were recently swept in a doubleheader against the league's preseason- favorite Jacksonville State (4/11). Prior to that, SIU blanked Southeast Missouri (4/7), beat Murray State (4/1) lost to Eastern Illinois (3/4) and split two games with Tennessee-Martin (2/24, 3/3).
Callahan vs. the OVC
The Salukis are 60-31 (.659) all-time against the OVC under head coach Dan Callahan. Callahan's teams have played seven of the current 10 schools in that league. SIU is 6-3 vs. Austin Peay, 8-2 vs. Eastern Illinois, 1-0 vs. Eastern Kentucky, 18-5 vs. Murray State, 11-14 vs. SE Missouri, 16-5 vs. Tennessee-Martin and 0-2 vs. Jacksonville State with Callahan at the helm.
Series History
Tuesday marks the 69th meeting between SIU and SEMO. The Salukis own a 44-23-1 lead against the Redhawks in a series which started in 1923. SIU is 11-14 all-time against SEMO under head coach Dan Callahan. The home team has won seven of the last nine meetings between these teams. The Dawgs have lost four of their last six games in Cape Girardeau.
