Obergoenner named MVC Golfer of the Week

ST. LOUIS - The Missouri Valley Conference announced senior co-captain Todd Obergoenner as this week's MVC Golfer of the Week on Wednesday.
Obergoenner carded the second-lowest 54 hole score of his career at 5-under-par 211, and nearly picked up his first tournament victory as a Saluki at the ASU Red Wolf Classic after losing in a three-golfer playoff.
He was tied for third heading into Tuesday's final round, and finished with an even-par 72 to tie with Central Arkansas' Jad Sinclair and Louisiana-Lafayette's Kyle Pritchard.
Sinclair went on to par the first playoff hole though to edge Obergoenner and Pritchard for the title.
This is the second straight year Obergoenner has won the league's Golfer of the Week award following the ASU Classic tournament, and the first time he has been honored this season.
