Softball home against Bradley this weekend

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Saluki softball team (28-11, 10-6) takes on Bradley (16-23, 7-9) for a three-game series at home this weekend at Charlotte West Stadium.
The three-game set begins with a noon doubleheader on Saturday. Following the second game all five graduating seniors will be recognized for their hard work in a Senior Day ceremony.
The program will honor seniors Katie McNamara, Chelsea Petty, Katie Schmidt, Katie Wagner and Jayme Wamsley for helping continue SIU's tradition of excellence.
On Sunday, the team's will square-off for a single game at 12 p.m. to conclude the series.
After the game, ladies in attendance will have the opportunity to search the field for a buried diamond beneath the infield dirt. The lucky lady to find the diamond will be rewarded with a pair of diamond earrings courtesy of Diamond Designs in Marion.
Gift certificates and prizes will also be drawn randomly throughout the game.
Southern Illinois enters the final home conference series of the season with a 2-1 record this week. SIU swept Saint Louis before dropping a game against Evansville on Thursday at home.
Bradley comes into the weekend games having lost nine of its last 10 games, including a single-game at SIU-Edwardsville on Thursday.
SIU leads the all-time series with the Braves 44-22, and swept all three games in Peoria, Ill. last year. The Salukis have also won 13 of the last 14 against BU.
