CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois softball team (31-11) concludes its home and non-conference schedule with a 5 p.m. doubleheader against Morehead State (33-16) on Thursday at Charlotte West Stadium.
The two games were added as a result of previous rain outs during the season, and will feature the first meeting between the two schools.
SIU and Morehead State enter the twin bill with three-game win streaks after having both swept its weekend series.
The Salukis took all three from Bradley, while the Eagles won three-straight over Austin Peay. The two teams are also both in second place in their respected leagues, and MSU has an 11-game win streak in the Ohio Valley Conference.
The Salukis are 5-2 against OVC teams this season, and hold an impressive 14-4 record at home this year.
Following Thursday's doubleheader, the team will finish the regular-season with a three-game series at Indiana State Saturday and Sunday, May 2-3.
