CARBONDALE, Ill. - Wednesday's baseball game between Southern Illinois University and Eastern Illinois has been cancelled due to rain. The Salukis and Panthers were scheduled to meet in Mattoon tonight.
Steady rain showers made field conditions unplayable. The game will not be rescheduled, nor will it be moved to Coaches Stadium on EIU's campus.
SIU returns to Missouri Valley Conference action at Bradley this weekend. The Salukis and Braves open a three-game series on Friday at 6 p.m., CT.
