No. 24 Softball series finale cancelled on Sunday

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The No. 24 Saluki softball series finale against Wichita State was cancelled in the top of the fourth due to heavy rain at Charlotte West Stadium and will not be rescheduled.
The scoreless game was suspended in the top of the fourth, but was cancelled after a one hour and 15 minute delay.
Southern Illinois still won the series after sweeping Saturday's doubleheader, and will continue play at No. 11 Missouri this Wednesday, April 8 at 3 p.m. in Columbia, Mo.
Following the midweek non-conference match up, SIU will return home next week for a three-game series against Missouri State. The three-game set begins with a 3 p.m. doubleheader on Friday, April 10 and concludes on Saturday with a single game at noon.
