Series History
Southern Illinois University and Jacksonville State meet for the first time this weekend. The Gamecocks are the fifth Ohio Valley Conference opponent that the Salukis face this season.
Another OVC Opponent
SIU is currently 3-2 versus OVC schools this year. The Salukis recently shutout Southeast Missouri State, 7-0, on Apr. 7. Prior to that, SIU won at Murray State (4/1), lost at home to Eastern Illinois (3/4) and split two games with Tennessee-Martin (2/24, 3/3).
Callahan vs the OVC
The Salukis are 60-29 (.674) all-time against the OVC under head coach Dan Callahan. Callahan's teams have played six of the current 10 schools in that league.
