ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Southern Illinois quarterback Chris Dieker was named the Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Player of the Week late Sunday night.

The senior accounted for six touchdowns in his final game in a Saluki uniform. Dieker set new career-highs with four touchdown passes and 279 yards passing. His four touchdown passes tied for the second most in a game in school history. He also rushed for 41 yards in the game and ran for two scores.
Dieker completed 15-of-19 passes, averaged 18.6 yards per completion and completed four passes for over 35 yards with a long of 48. His 78.9 completion percentage is the 10th highest in Saluki history.
A three-year starter, Dieker rounds out his career with 5,237 yards passing and 41 touchdowns to rank third all-time in both categories in the Saluki record books. He had a 20-9 record as a starter.
This was the first Offensive Player of the Week award for a Saluki this season.
