Men's Basketball to host Western Michigan in BracketBusters

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Pairings for the 2010 ESPN BracketBusters tournament were announced Monday, and Southern Illinois will host Western Michigan in a non-televised game on Sat., Feb. 20 at 2:05 p.m.

Ironically, the Salukis (12-9) and Broncos (11-9) recently completed a home-and-home series with Western Michigan winning at home on Dec. 18, 2008 (57-41), and Southern Illinois protecting its home court on Dec. 22, 2008 (64-46).

The Broncos are currently in fourth place in the West Division of the Mid-American Conference. They last made the NCAA Tournament in 2004.

The men's basketball game will be followed at 4:30 p.m. by a women's basketball matchup between SIU and Illinois State, which is the program's annual Pink Out game.
