Softball hosts Northern Iowa this weekend

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Salukis will host Northern Iowa this weekend in their final home series of the season.

SIU enters this weekend's series 31-17 overall, 15-4 in Missouri Valley Conference action. UNI is on a six-game winning streak, posting a 26-20 overall record, 11-8 in the Valley. With only two series left in the regular-season, the Salukis are fighting for a top-spot in the Valley as they are currently in second place, half a game behind No. 1 Illinois State.

Saturday is Senior Day, as four Salukis will be playing their final regular-season games at Charlotte West Stadium. Jenene Ebstein, Alicia Garza, Allie Hanson and Katie Wilson will be recognized for their career at SIU following the doubleheader.

Saturday's doubleheader will begin at noon, followed by a first pitch at noon on Sunday for the final game of the series.
