CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois softball team swept its competition as Brittney Lang threw a no-hitter in game one while Haley Gorman hit the game winning single in the bottom of the seventh of game two to give the Salukis victories over John A. Logan College and Southeast Missouri State.

Lang threw 14 strikeouts in the Salukis game one victory over John A. Logan to pick up her first victory of the fall season.
Rachelle Runge went 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI while Mallory Duran, Kelsea Ashton and Jayna Spivey all added 2 RBIs a piece for the Salukis.
"Overall I feel our pitching was very, very good this weekend and kept us in ballgames," head coach Kerri Blaylock said.

Haley Gorman hit the game winning single in the bottom of the seventh to give the Salukis their third victory this fall season.
Gorman went 2-for-3 in the game while Danielle Glosson added four strikeouts to help the Salukis grab the win.
"I just feel fortunate that in the fall we have been able to have a lot of situational work so we've had plays at the plate, rundowns and a lot of things that we can work on come the spring season," Blaylock said.
The Salukis will wrap up their fall season when they travel to Normal, Ill. Oct 2-3 for the State Farm Illinois Collegiate Softball Championship hosted by Illinois State.
