→ The Southern Illinois baseball team plays four games over the next four days, beginning on Wednesday with a 2 p.m. game at Eastern Illinois. Then on Thursday, the Salukis return home to host Dallas Baptist for a three-game series at Abe Martin Field. Fans can listen to all four games this week on WFRX 1300-AM in Carbondale with the call of Mike Reis or on the internet at SIUSalukis.com through Game Central.
→ Saluki Athletics will be video streaming all remaining home games, with the exception of the April 15 game vs. Missouri State, through Game Central at SIUSalukis.com. This is the first-time ever that video streaming is available for baseball.
→ The Southern Illinois baseball program is hosting its 15th annual Fish Fry and Memorabilia Auction, Friday, March 25 at the Carbondale Civic Center from 5-8 p.m. The memorabilia auction begins at 7 p.m. Dinner includes all you can eat fish, potato salad, coleslaw, bread, soft drinks and homemade desserts. Tickets for the dinner are $7 for adults and $3 for kids and the memorabilia auction begins at 7 p.m.
→ SIU enters the week looking to snap a nine-game losing streak that began with a 10-9 home loss to Le Moyne on March 9. This is Southern's longest losing streak since 2004, when the Salukis started the season with 12-consecutive losses.
→ With the three games at home this weekend, it ends a stretch where 6-of-7 games for the Salukis will be played at home. That is the longest home stand of the season for Southern. After this weekend, SIU only has 12 remaining home games and 20 road games.
→ Southern Illinois' game against Southeast Missouri State in Carbondale on April 12 has been moved to 1 p.m.
