Football announces 2011 home game times

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois football team announced Thursday the times for its five home football games in the 2011 season.
SIU opens its home schedule on Saturday, Sept. 24 with a 6 p.m. game against Missouri State to begin Missouri Valley Football Conference play.
That game is a part of Family Weekend and is Southern's only home night game, as all four remaining games at Saluki Stadium will kick off at 2 p.m.
All game times are subject to change if any games are selected to air on television.
Southern Illinois hosts North Dakota State, Oct. 8, and Youngstown State, Oct. 15, in back-to-back weeks. The Youngstown State game is a part of Homecoming weekend for the Salukis.
On Oct. 29, Illinois State comes into Carbondale and SIU's final home game of the 2011 season lies on Nov. 12 against Eastern Illinois.
Season ticket renewals for Saluki football will be mailed out to fans next week with a July 1 deadline.
Southern Illinois has a 41-4 regular season record at home since 2003.
