Softball cancels series finale with Missouri State

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Expected rain later today has forced the cancellation of the series finale between Southern Illinois and Missouri State.
Start time had been originally pushed back one hour to 1 p.m. but the expected forecast led officials to cancel the game.
The Salukis were also supposed to host Strike Out Cancer at today's game and the event may possibly be reschedule for later in the season.
The Salukis (31-13, 13-3 MVC) will return to the field on Tuesday when they host Evansville in a single game at Charlotte West Stadium beginning at 4 p.m.
