Women's Golf to compete in EKU Lady Colonel Classic

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois women's golf team returns to the course for the first time in two weeks as it takes part in the EKU Lady Colonel Classic this Saturday and Sunday hosted by Eastern Kentucky.
The Salukis are coming off their first place finish at the Saluki Invitational on March 27 where Cassie Rushing and Ashleigh Rushing paced the team with overall fourth place finishes as they helped their team win its first tournament title since 2008.
This tournament will also be the final tune up for the team before they compete in the Missouri Valley Conference championship in Normal, Ill. on April 22-23.
The two-day tournament begins Saturday at the par 72, 5081 yard Arlington Golf Course in Richmond, Ky. with a round of 36 holes on Saturday followed up by a round of 18 holes on Sunday.
Start time for both days is an 8:30 am ET shot gun start.
Participating teams include Arkansas State, Austin Peay, Bowling Green State, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky (White), Marshall, Morehead State, Murray State, Ohio, Southern Illinois, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech, and Toledo.
