Duran, Weissinger named to MVC All-Tournament team

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Mallory Duran and Natalee Weissinger have been named to the Missouri Valley Conference All-Tournament team, announced by the league Saturday evening.
Senior third baseman Weissinger, a Madison, Tenn. native, helped the Salukis past Creighton in the quartefinals on Friday morning. Her two RBIs put SIU on the scoreboard early as they coasted to a 4-0 victory over the Bluejays.
Duran, the league's leader in batting average on the season with a .409, led things in the outfield for the Salukis as she made many impressive catches and included a hit in the semifinal loss to Drake. The Windsor, Colo. native was also a first team all-conference selection this season.
The Salukis concluded the season with a 36-17 record and a 17-6 mark in conference play.
