Softball travels to Illinois Collegiate Softball Championships

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois softball team will wrap up its fall schedule this Saturday and Sunday as it takes part in the Illinois Collegiate Softball Championships in Normal.
Teams participating in this year's tournament include: Bradley, DePaul, Eastern Illinois, Illinois, Illinois State, Illinois-Chicago, Loyola (Ill.), Northern Illinois, Northwestern, Southern Illinois, SIU Edwardsville and Western Illinois.
The fourth annual ICSC will feature all 12 Division I programs from Illinois for the first time since its beginning in 2007. The Salukis will face off in Pool D against Northern Illinois at 12 p.m. and Northwestern at 5 p.m.
The outcome of Saturday's games will determine who SIU will play on Sunday. .
Going into the weekend tournament, the Salukis hold a 3-1 record in fall action.
