Softball signs Michelle Glenn

CARBONDALE, Ill. - SIU softball head coach Kerri Blaylock has announced that Michelle Glenn has signed to play with the Salukis next season.
Glenn comes to SIU from Lake Land College in Mattoon, Ill., where she has had a successful career playing as an outfielder. Glenn was named a 2011 NJCAA All-American and an NJCAA Academic All-American helping the Lakers to a 43-10 season and a fifth place finish in nationals.
She currently holds a .403 batting average with 54 hits, three doubles, four triples and 24 RBI helping Lake Land to a 43-5 record heading into regionals April 27.
The Mattoon, Ill., native graduated from Mattoon High School in 2010 helping the MHS softball team to three top two finishes in sectionals and an 89-18 record overall. She held a .460 batting average as a senior and was named an All-State Honorable Mention, a Decatur Herald & Review All-Area honoree and Mizuno Super 60 team. She was also a three-time Big 12 All-Conference selection.
