Limited spots still available for Saluki Baseball Golf Scramble

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Saluki Baseball Alumni group has announced that there are still a limited amount of spots remaining for next week's third annual golf scramble. Participation in the golf scramble is open to the public, and the event will be held in conjuction with the upcoming Saluki Baseball Alumni Reunion Weekend when SIU hosts Wichita State for a three-game series from Friday, April 26 through Sunday, April 28. This year's outing is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 27 at Hickory Ridge Golf Course in Carbondale.
The cost of the event is $100 per player and includes 18 holes of golf, cart rental, lunch, prizes and a good time with friends and teammates. All proceeds from the event will benefit the project for the renovation of Abe Martin Field.
Following golf that day, everyone is invited to Abe Martin Field to watch the Salukis face Wichita State at 2 p.m.
