Men's Basketball plays at Bradley on Saturday

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois University men's basketball team travels to Bradley for at 7 p.m. game on Saturday at Carver Arena in Peoria, Ill. The Salukis (7-7, 0-1), who are playing their first road game since Dec. 10, are looking to snap a three-game losing skid. The Braves (5-9, 0-1) have lost five of their last seven games and are coming off a 14-point loss at Loyola on Wednesday.

Anthony Beane climbs career scoring list
On Dec. 22, G Anthony Beane (6-2, 190, Jr.) became the 44th player in school history to reach the 1,000-point plateau. Beane now has 1,030 -- placing him 40th all-time at SIU. He also ranks 20th all-time in career 3-pointers (92). Beane is third in the MVC in scoring (18.6) this year. Five times he has topped the 20-point mark, including a career-high 32 points at Tennessee State on Nov. 18. Beane also leads the team in 3-pointers (19), free throws made (60) and steals (21).
Series versus Bradley
The Braves lead the all-time series between the schools and have won three of the last four meetings. Since 2002, SIU is 7-6 in games played at Carver Arena. The last time the Salukis won at Bradley was on Jan. 24, 2012 -- a 74-65 win in which Mamadou Seck scored 15 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out six assists.
