Men's Basketball player Bola Olaniyan suspended indefinitely

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois men's basketball coach Barry Hinson announced today that starting center Bola Olaniyan has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules. The 6-foot-7 junior will not travel with the team to Texas where SIU will play Friday and Saturday in the Corpus Christi Coastal Challenge.

After last night's win over Oakland, the Salukis are 5-0 and off to their best start since 2003. Olaniyan has started all five games and is averaging 7.4 points and a team-high 8.4 rebounds.
