Track & Field to host Jumps, Throws and Vault Clinic

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Southern Illinois University track & field program will host an all-day Jumps, Throws and Vault Clinic on January 2, 2016. Campers will receive specialized instruction in the long jump, high jump, triple jump, shot put, discus and the pole vault.
Who Should Attend
The Southern Illinois Jumps, Throws and Vault Clinic is open to any and all entrants but is designed for junior high and senior high school male and female students who want to improve and learn new skills in the events listed above. Coaches are also welcome to attend.
About the Camp
The Southern Illinois University track and field Jumps, Throws and Vault Clinic will allow athletes to receive a personalized evaluation of his/her technique from Southern Illinois associate head coach Terry VanLaningham and assistant coach J.C. Lambert. VanLaningham has coached 10 All-Americans, two NCAA runner-ups, two Olympians and 74 conference champions in his distinguished 15 year coaching career, while Lambert was a five-time All-American, the most for a Saluki male thrower, during his five-year career as a Saluki.
The camp will consist of a single session and will be held indoors at the SIU Recreation Center.
