CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois softball program will hold two summer camps in 2015, head coach Kerri Blaylock announced Friday. The program will host hitting camps on July 14-15, 2015, in the Garden Grove Event Center.
The July 14 camp is for high school students, while the July 15 camp is for grades 1-8. Both camps run from noon-2:30 p.m. and feature instruction from Southern Illinois players and coaches. Both dates are limited to the first 40 entrants.
The camp costs $50 and features instruction from SIU coaches and players. Campers will receive a t-shirt and work on hitting drills in both a group and one-on-one environment.
Under Blaylock, the Salukis have won three Missouri Valley Conference titles and 562 total games. She has the best winning percentage of any 500-win coach in MVC history and is the only coach in conference history to lead a program to five-straight NCAA Tournaments.
