Jeremy Postell academically ineligible, will transfer after spring semester

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois University men's basketball coach Barry Hinson announced today that junior forward Jeremy Postell is academically ineligible. The 6-foot-5 Atlanta, Ga. native will complete the spring semester at SIU and then transfer, according to Hinson.
After transferring to Southern Illinois last summer from New Mexico Junior College, Postell played in six games this season for the Salukis and scored 10 points. He has not appeared in a game since Dec. 12 versus North Texas. He recorded career highs of five points against Florida A&M and at North Texas on Dec. 5. By NCAA rules, he is allowed to practice with the team this semester.
