Saluki women's tennis to host SIU Wooden Racquet Tennis Classic

CARBONDALE, Ill. – The Southern Illinois University's women's tennis team is set to host the SIU Wooden Racquet Tennis Classic on May 7 and 8. Proceeds from the tournament, held at University Courts, will go directly to the women's tennis team to help with expenses in the upcoming season.
The Classic will start with men's singles at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, and open to males 50 and up (3.5 NTRP). Following men's singles will be men's and women's doubles at 3 p.m. The tournament will finish with mixed doubles at 12 p.m. on Sunday. The SIU Wooden Racquet Classic is a non-sanctioned tournament that requires participants to use a wooden racquet to play.
