
Six Salukis earn WGCA All-American Scholars recognition

Six members of the Southern Illinois women's golf team were named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars team today. The WGCA announced the names of 830 women's collegiate golfers recognized with this honor, and SIU led the Missouri Valley Conference in honorees.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar team are some of the most stringent in college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.Â
Earlier this year, Cusumano earned first-team MVC Scholar-Athlete recognition, while Netisingha and Yang were each named honorable mention MVC Scholar-Athletes.
