CARBONDALE, Ill. – Southern Illinois junior high jumper Kyle Landon advanced to Sunday's 14-man final at the 2016 Olympic Trials inside Historic Hayward Field. The top three finishers will qualify to represent Team USA in Rio later this summer.
The Chester, Ill. native cleared the opening bar of 7'-00.25" (2.14m) on his first attempt. He is one of only five of the remaining 14 to advance without a miss.
The U.S. Olympic Trials conclude on Sunday (July 10), with Landon competing in the men's high jump final at 5 p.m. CDT.
