Saluki Hall of Fame broadcaster Mike Reis will unveil this year's men's basketball non-conference schedule during a live-video interview with head coach Barry Hinson on Wednesday at 11 a.m. on the Athletics Youtube page.
Earlier today, Southern Illinois director of athletics Tommy Bell announced in his monthly newsletter that SIU has withdrawn from the three-game Lone Star Showcase. He also said contracts are being finalized to play eight, non-conference home games, and five road games, including trips to three Power Five conference opponents. The last time Southern played a Power Five opponent was on Nov. 12, 2013 at Missouri.
