Netisingha named MVC Golfer of the Week

Senior Hanna Netisingha was named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week on Wednesday.
Netisingha took home first place at the Chi-Town Classic, with a two-round score of 148, four-strokes over par. It is her first individual win of the season and second of her career.
Netisngha's two-under par 70 in the first round tied her for eighth in all-time low 18-hole scores and was the second best opening round score in Southern's history. Her second win also makes her fourth all-time in school history.
Netisingha previously won Golfer of the Week in February of 2016. She is the second Golfer of the Week for SIU this season. Freshman Emilyee McGiles received the award in September.
