Landon has now been named MVC Scholar-Athlete three times this season, and 10 times in his career.
ST. LOUIS – Southern Illinois senior jumper Kyle Landon has been selected as the Missouri Valley Conference male Scholar-Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Landon cleared 7'-2.25" on his first attempt to finish second in the high jump at the Music City Challenge. The Chester, Ill. native tallied three first attempt clearances at the meet, and remains tied for No. 6 in the NCAA with his previous mark of 7'-3" (2.21m).

It marks the third time this season, and the 10th time in his distinguished career, that the four-time All-American has garnered MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Week honors.
