The Southern Illinois baseball team hosts Southeast Missouri on Tuesday evening at Itchy Jones Stadium. SIU beat the Redhawks 6-5 last year in the only meeting, and the programs split two games in 2015. Tuesday evening's game will start at 5 p.m. and be streamed through ESPN3.Â

- Connor Kopach has 18 of those stolen bases. His 18 bags lead the MVC and rank fifth nationally.Â
- SIU was held scoreless for 21 consecutive innings, starting with last Tuesday's Austin Peay game and going through the third inning of Saturday's game at Wichita State. After that, SIU scored in eight consecutive innings over the next two games.
- Southern overcame a 5-1 deficit on Saturday at Wichita State, scoring 10 unanswered runs and holding on for an 11-8 win
- SIU's 18 runs over the final two games of the Wichita State series are the most for the Salukis in back-to-back games since the first weekend in March (vs. Western Illinois)
- The Salukis have turned 33 double plays this year, which leads the MVC and ranks 18th nationally.
- SIU has turned 148 double plays in the last 148 games, dating back to the start of the 2015 season. That leads the MVC in that span, and Will Farmer has started all 148 of those games on the middle infield.Â
