Baranski name MVC Player of the Week

Senior Piotr Baranski was named the Missouri Valley Conference men's tennis Player of the week on Tuesday.
While SIU lost to Drake on April 8, Baranski won both of his matches against Drake at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles. He defeated No. 83 Vinny Gillespie in singles to improve his dual match record to 13-1. Baranski and Alex Pozo defeated Thorold and Philips of Drake, 6-3, in doubles. Baranski and Pozo are 13-0 in dual matches. Baranski is ranked No. 113 by the ITA in singles.
This is the second week in a row a member of the Salukis men's tennis team has been named Player of the Week by the MVC.
