Four Salukis named to Scholar-Athlete teams in MVC

To qualify for Scholar-Athlete honors you have to hold a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in more than 75% of your team's matches. The athlete must also be at least a sophomore.
This is the third year in a row that Dozortseva has been named to the first team, and the second year in a row for fellow senior, Monaghan. Both were first team selection back in 2016, while in 2015 Dozortseva was first team and Monaghan was honorable mention. Each Saluki currently holds a 3.90 GPA. Chrysanthou and Klocova both had 3.8 GPA's and received their first Scholar-Athlete recognition of their careers.Â
Southern Illinois tied with Bradley University for the most selections of any school.Â
