Saluki Athletics is proud to welcome all SIU students back to campus for the first day of classes! We're excited to be a part of your experience here in Carbondale, and we hope to make memories together. Remember, you get FREE admission to all athletics events when you present your student ID.
Our first home event of the 2017-18 season is one week from today! The volleyball team hosts Arkansas State at 7 p.m. in SIU Arena. The Saluki volleyball team has averaged 22 wins over the last two seasons and made the NCAA Tournament in 2015. While the first match is in SIU Arena, most home volleyball matches are played in Davies Gym, which is one of the loudest gyms in the Midwest. With great student support, the Salukis have one of the best home-court advantages in the nation.
The first football game of the season is Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. against Mississippi Valley State. The exciting Saluki football team has averaged 34 points per game over the last two seasons, so there's no doubt that Saluki Stadium will be a fun place to be on Saturdays this fall. Also, new students get to rush the field before the first game! Join the tradition of the Saluki Sprint just before kickoff on September 9.
