Freshman Emilyee McGiles was named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week on Wednesday.

McGiles finished tied for eighth in Ball State University's Cardinal Classic. She finished with a career low of 220 (+4) and is now ranked sixth in the Saluki record book for all-time low 54-hole scores. She is also ranked 11th in all-time low 36-hole scores with an overall score 146.

McGiles score of 220 left her 10 strokes off of first place Jacinta Pikunas from Akron University, and helped the Salukis to a fifth-place finish with a score of 889. She helped the Salukis break the all-time low 54-hole score.

McGiles is the first Golfer of the Week for the Salukis this season.
