Softball announces Winter Pitching Academy

CARBONDALE, Ill. – The Southern Illinois University softball program has set dates for its 2018 Winter Pitching Academy.
The pitching academy is open to seventh through 12th graders and will consist of seven weekly sessions to run from the end of November through the start of January. Two sessions will be offered, with the first running from 6-7 p.m. followed by a second session from 7-8 p.m.
There is a limit of 4-6 participants per session, so it is imperative that interested attendees act quickly to ensure a spot. Assistant coach Kenzi Tate will lead each session and questions are to be directed to her by email at kenzi.tate@siu.edu.
Prospective attendees may email Coach Tate to reserve a spot, but payment must be made immediately to keep that spot or it will be released to the next name on the list.

Who: Girls, grades 7-12 (4-6 campers per session accepted)
Dates: Friday, Nov. 28/Monday, Dec. 3/Wednesday, Dec. 12/Wednesday, Dec. 19/Thursday, Dec. 27/Wednesday, Jan. 2/Wednesday, Jan. 9.
Time: Session 1: 6-7 p.m.
Session 2: 7-8 p.m.
Location: Garden Grove Event Center (indoor workout facility)

Cost: $250 (check payable to SIU or cash, no credit cards accepted)
