The Southern Illinois men's basketball team hosts Murray State on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in SIU Arena. In the tightly contested series, SIU leads Murray 18-17. The last time the teams played in Carbondale, the game went into overtime before SIU pulled out the win. At halftime, 17 Wounded Warriors will be recognized. Each will be escorted by a veteran. All active duty military and veterans receive free admission to the game, and military family members can receive $10 tickets.

THE RUNDOWN

Southern Illinois hosts Murray State on Wednesday night in SIU Arena.
At halftime, 17 Wounded Warriors will be recognized. They will be each escorted by a veteran. All active duty military and veterans receive free admission to the game, and military family members can receive $10 tickets.

GAME PREVIEW

Southern Illinois leads the all-time series, 18-17. Murray State won the last meeting and the home team has won each of the last two games, with SIU winning in OT in Carbondale in 2016.
Murray State is led by Ja Morant, a projected top-10 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft. Four NBA teams are expected to be at SIU Arena to scout Morant.
The Racers only loss was a six-point loss at Alabama.
Shaq Buchanan (12.5) and Tevin Brown (9.8) are the next two leading scorers for Murray after Morant (24.2).
Morant's usage rate (37.3 percent) ranks third nationally.
SIU ranked 16th nationally in 3-point field goal percentage (40.3 percent). Murray State leads the nation in 3-point field goal percentage defense (20.7 percent).
SIU's effective field goal percentage ranks 16th nationally, while Murray's eFG% defense ranks fourth nationally.
