
Broadcaster Mike Reis to be inducted into St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame

Saluki Hall of Fame broadcaster Mike Reis will be inducted into the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame as part of a 13-person class announced on Friday. Reis is part of a prestigious class that includes NFL veterans Eric Wright and Bryan Cox, former NBA star LaPhonso Ellis, former Major League Baseball player Ray Fosse, and Olympic champion Dawn Harper.
A graduate of SIU's Radio & Television program, Reis is in his 40th year as the Voice of the Salukis. He is tied with Bradley's Dave Snell for longest active tenure in the Missouri Valley Conference and ranks seventh overall in longevity among Division I broadcasters. The Cincinnati native has been recognized by three halls of fame and was the Illinois Sportscaster of the Year in 2011.
