
Saluki men record two fourth place finishes at MAC Championships

After the opening night of the Mid-American Conference Swimming and Diving Championships, the Salukis are in fourth place.

The opening night of the meet presented the Salukis with two opportunities to earn points, the 200-yard medley relay and the 800-yard freestyle relay.

In the 200-yard medley relay, the team of senior Alex Crawford, freshman Sam Drew, senior Joao Facciotti and sophomore Tamas Hajtman placed fourth with a time of 1:29.91. It is the third-fastest time in school history.

In the 800-yard freestyle relay, the team of sophomores Kevin Kluge and Chris Phillips, senior Michael Wolfe and junior Riley Garman were fourth with a time of 6:38.90. It was the fastest time this season in the event by nearly 12 seconds.

The MAC Championships continue tomorrow in Oxford, Ohio. The prelims begin at 9:30 C.T. and the finals start at 5:30 central time.
