
Saluki Women's Golf Signs Two for 2020

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Saluki women's golf head coach Danielle Kaufmann announced the signing of Hollie James and Jidapa Samattiyadeekul for the 2020 class.
 
Hollie James, a native of of Wylie, TX where she attends Rockwall High School, will be a freshman on the 2020-21 team. James competes on the All American Tour circuit and has top-10 finishes in three AAT tournaments in 2019, highlighted by a first place finish at the Rangers Junior Open.
Jidapa Samattiyadeekul, from Bangkok, Thailand, currently attends The American School of Bangkok and will also be a freshman when she joins the team. Samattiyadeekul has a 77 scoring average with a tournament low score of 71 and has twelve top-20 finishes over the past two seasons. Samattiyadeekul is already focused on the challenges ahead and reaching her goals.
"I want to be a pro golfer and to play the biggest tournaments against the best players in the world," said Samattiyadeekul.
SIU head coach Danielle Kaufman is optimistic about the future of Saluki women's golf.
"I'm super excited to have both Hollie and Jidapa on the 2020 roster. They both are hard working players and I look forward to what they can achieve here at Southern Illinois," said Kaufman. "They both have so much potential to excel at the collegiate level."
