SIU and SLU set to meet in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The SIU men's basketball team is set to travel to Saint Louis for a 3 p.m. game on Sunday. Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. and the game will be televised on Fox Sports Midwest.

OPENING TIP

- SIU leads the Missouri Valley Conference in field goal percentage defense (.389). SIU has held four of its seven opponents under 40% shooting, and all seven opponents under 50% shooting.
- SIU is allowing 61.1 points per game, which ranks second in the MVC and 50th nationally (of 353).
- The Salukis held three-straight opponents under 40% shooting to open the season, marking the first time SIU did that to open a season since 1989-90.
