HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The SIU men's basketball team is looking for its first true road win of the season on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Salukis come into the game having won two of its last three games.

DAWG BITES: SIU has held all nine opponents under 50% shooting this season ... SIU has made at least one 3-pointer in 155 consecutive games ... - Life without Cook: SIU star point guard Aaron Cook is out 4-6 weeks with a broken bone in his right hand. In Wednesday's win over Norfolk State, Eric McGill and Lance Jones combined for 27 points (on 10-for-20 shooting), 13 assists and nine rebounds.Â
- SIU freshman forward Marcus Domask was named the MVC Newcomer of the Week on Monday. Domask averaged 19.5 points on 59% shooting over two games last week. Domask followed that up with a double-double (18 points, 12 rebounds) on Wednesday in the win over Norfolk State.
- Domask leads all MVC freshmen in scoring, rebounding and assists. Domask is one of only 10 freshmen nationally averaging at least 14.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.
- The game's broadcasters are two of the top-10 longest tenured play-by-play broadcasters in the nation. Southern Miss broadcaster John Cox is in his 42nd year (8th longest in the nation). SIU Hall of Famer Mike Reis is in his 41st year as Voice of the Salukis (t-9th longest in the nation).
