COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Southern Illinois women's soccer team fell victim to a 2-0 decision against the Colorado College Tigers on Sunday afternoon at Washburn Field.
The Salukis (4-6-1 overall) had a chance in the first half as freshman Paityn Schneider launched her fourth shot on goal this season but couldn't score as the Salukis went into the half tied at 0-0 against Colorado College (5-1).
The two teams played a tight second half until the Tigers managed to get on the board with a goal by way of Abby Hubbard in the 74thminute. Colorado College extended their lead with another goal two minutes later from Jenna Wilt to jump out to the late 2-0 advantage.
SIU was unable to record another shot throughout the remainder of regulation before losing their second-straight match.
Up Next: SIU will have the week off before welcoming in Texas Rio Grande Valley on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 12 p.m.
