CARBONDALE, Ill. - The SIU men's basketball team is hosting Indiana State on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. The Salukis will honor seniors Barret Benson, Eric McGill and Ronnie Suggs Jr. before the game. Additionally, $8 tickets are available through noon on Wednesday using the code "WHITEOUT" at SIUSalukis.com/tickets, and fans are encouraged to wear white to the game. At the game, 4,000 rally towels will be distributed to fans in appreciation of outstanding support all season long. Former Saluki Football star Craig James, who is now in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles, will be in attendance and will sign autographs at halftime in the Charles Helleny Pavillion.

OPENING TIP

The SIU men's basketball team hosts Indiana State on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in Banterra Center. The game is Senior Night, and SIU will honor seniors Ronnie Suggs Jr., Barret Benson, and Eric McGill before the game.
SIU is offering special $8 tickest for the game by using the promo code WHITEOUT. SIU fans are encouraged to wear white to the game.
SIU has clinched a first-round bye in the MVC Tournament and will play in the quarterfinal round on Friday. With a win over Indiana State, SIU would clinch a top-four seed.
SIU's 10 MVC wins represent the most ever by an MVC team that was picked last in the preseason poll (since 1986). In 2018, Drake was picked last in the MVC poll, and also won 10 games.
SIU is 12-2 at Banterra Center this season. SIU is looking for its best home court record (by winning percentage) since going 13-0 in 2006-07. (SIU went 13-3 in both 2007-08 and 2017-18.)
SIU also has a chance to go 8-1 at home in MVC play, which would be the best mark for the program since going 8-1 in 2007-08.
SIU ranks 9th nationally (of 353) in scoring defense, allowing just 60.9 points per game. SIU also ranks top-55 nationally in fewest fouls per game (10th) and 3-point field goal percentage defense (51st).
SIU's field goal percentage defense is on pace to be its best since 2006-07, and its 3-point field goal percentage defense is on pace to be its best ever.
Via KenPom -- SIU's overall defensive efficiency ranks 81st nationally, which is second-best in the MVC to Loyola. In MVC games, SIU's defensive efficiency leads the league.
