SAINT LOUIS, Mo. -- The Missouri Valley Conference announced the 2021 Women's Soccer Scholar-Athlete team on Wednesday, as voted on by the institution's sports information directors in accordance with CoSIDA Academic All-American standards. From SIU, junior defender Katy Quinn was named to the list of 11.

Quinn, a native of Bloomington, Illinois, holds a 3.95 GPA in mechanical engineering at Southern Illinois and was State Farm's MVC Scholar-Athlete Spotlight recognition for the week of Oct. 14. The defender recorded 803 minutes of field action during the 2021 season, making eight starts and seeing the field in all 16 matches. She accumulated six shots, two shots-on-goal, played a full 90 minute match at SIUE on Sept. 9, with numerous blocks in the Saluki backfield throughout the year.
