
Women's Basketball to Host Illinois Sunday

CARBONDALE, Ill. — The Southern Illinois University women's basketball team will return to Banterra Center on Sunday at 2 p.m. as they host the University of Illinois.
This will be the final home game of the Salukis' non-conference schedule. It will also be the first of back-to-back games against Big 10 opponents, as Southern will play Indiana on the road to close out non-conference play.
The Salukis will enter Sunday having won four of their last six matchups. Graduate guard Makenzie Silvey will enter Sunday having scored 23 points in back-to-back games, while graduate forward Abby Brockmeyer has four double-doubles in Southern's eight games.
This will be the first time since 2015 that the Salukis and Illini will compete. Southern leads the all-time series 21-15.
